Family Portraits {The S* Family} Teaser!

What a good lookin family! The S* Family chose to do an urban session for the family portraits and I'm so glad they did. This first shot of the family with the train whizzing by in the background is my favorite! I've never been that close to a train moving that fast! As you can see...the little on the left is terrified and the little on on the right is so intrigued! Thank you for such a fun shoot and entertaining all of my ideas. Enjoy!

Family Portraits {The C* Family} Teaser!

So this is how I spent the morning of Christmas Eve! I couldn't have asked for a more fun family to start off the holidays with! And could you have guessed that their santa suits were made with duct tape! Genius...and thrifty! Thank you C* family for a wonderful session...here are a few fun ones that caught my eye.

Enjoy!

Sacramento Child Photography, Modern Kids Portraits

The A* family stopped by my studio for a post Christmas holiday shoot while the whole family was in town. They had me laughing the entire time! Thanks for the 'sandwich' Eric and Jenny - I think it worked! These two young ones are quite adorable and I was ecstatic when I saw what I shot with them.

Enjoy!

On a side note...a big announcement is coming your way so stay tuned! I'll give you a hint: it involves stylish kids, adorable images and YOU!

Engagement Session {Meghan & Donald} Teaser!

When Meghan and Donald sent back their Love Reports so we could plan their engagement session - I was ready to cry from excitement about the creative possibilities that lept from the pages. They had 2 of my top 10 places I've always wanted to photograph at for engagement sessions. Can you guess where this spot was? If you must have a clue: I spent way too much time and money there when I remodeled my studio - and I secretly desire to have an orange apron!
The second location will be revealed in the full love story of {Meghan & Donald}!
Enjoy and Happy New Year!

(this last one is my favorite! I can see this as a huge canvas wall portrait...how romantic!)

I'M SUPER STOKED!

I absolutely love what I do! Every day that I am able to photograph someone is another day that I wake up with a smile on my face, passion in my heart and creativity running from my fingers to my toes. It's really hard to top that feeling but the next best thing...aside from the love of my life...is attending workshops of other fabulously creative and talented photographers. I am so stoked to announce that I will be hosting workshops at my studio - Negative Space - in the spring for two FABULOUS female photographers whose work I just adore! Skye Hardwick and Brianna Graham are young, talented and successful female photograpers in the portrait industry who are taking it by storm. I was thrilled when they took me up on my offer of opening my doors to them to share their knowledge with us local photographers. Portrait Photographers out there...if you have not heard of these ladies...please click on the links to view their work and to get more workshop information. Brianna will be here February 28th-March 2nd. Skye will be here April 17-19th with a bonus bridal shoot on the 20th for attendees. Hope to see you there and don't forget to spread the word....because sharing is caring.

And no blog entry is complete without a pretty picture....here's one from a recent senior session...meet Connor!
