Audi R8 and FashionSAC Fashion Show

What a beautiful Sacramento evening it was for this show. 55 degrees Restaurant hosted the event along with SacTown Magazine. There were lots of beautiful cars and beautiful people all milling about. Julie Hamilton of FashionSAC http://www.thefashionsac.com/ did a fabulous job putting together the fashion show. Clothing from Bijoux Boutique, DaraDenim, M.E. Boutique, Barby K Boutique, Posh - a boutique, Suede Salon and Starlette O'Hara were showcased. Here are some shots of the models before hitting the red carpet.

I found this gentleman, Felix Martinez, tucked away on the patio rolling cigars for guests while the musicians played in the background. He was so calm and focused amongst all the chaos. I don't know anything about cigars, but Felix had a line of people the entire time I was watching him so I figured he must be good.

Audi R8 Launch Party in Sacramento

I got a last minute call to do a cover photo for a brochure to be handed out the Audi party this Thursday. Here is the shot we captured on the streets of downtown Sac. Allysa was a great model! She had quite the audience growing while we were shooting. Plus, we had to shoot between trains. There was a lot going on but we were able to get the shot. Julie from Fashion SAC http://www.thefashionsac.com/ will be organizing the fashion show at the event....I will be doing some behind the scenes work for her so I will post more photos from the event later this weekend.

Trash the Dress in Old Sacramento

Normally I wouldn't Blog and Blast so close to my last blurb...but I couldn't wait to show you all these photos I took last night! I got together with a group of friends and a couple models to do a Trash the Dress shoot - which basically means we get to shoot what we would love to shoot on a wedding day but can't because brides are too worried about getting dirty! Our models Courtney and Ryan were so stinkin cute, sexy, playful and patient. Poor Courtney got tied up on the train tracks...but she looks so good even laying down on greasy tracks! Alot of younger newlyweds are now doing these sessions after their wedding to have some fun in their dress one more time and to get some amazing shots. Here are some of my favorite shots...hope you enjoy them! Please feel free to share this with others...I would love to hear what people think about this Trashy Session!

Draft Horse Classic - Nevada County Fairgrounds

Last week I had the opportunity to photograph at the Draft Horse Classic at the Nevada County Fairgrounds. Aside from my Irish horseriding fiasco of 03’, this was the most time I have ever spent around horses without hurting myself and annoying the horse!. The draft horses are a very large breed of horses and they are just beautiful animals with such personality. Here are a few shots from the day….Enjoy!

Welcome Welcome Welcome!!!!

Hello Everyone! So I've finally made the technical leap into the world of blogging. To be honest...I am still trying to figure this out...so bear with me during the learning curve. Alot has been happening over the summer that I want to share with you all so I think I will slowly reveal some stories and images over the next few weeks as I learn how to blog like the best of them.

Over the summer I had a chance to go home to Iowa for a week and while I was home I was able to shoot a senior portrait session for Mindy. We had fun running around downtown Des Moines looking for cool little spots to shoot against. Here are a couple from our shoot - the camera just loves her!
