Engagement Session {Megan & Russ} Teaser!

The first time I spoke with Megan to interview as her wedding photographer...we were on the phone for 2 hours and had rambled so far off the topic of weddings that it felt more like I was talking with a long lost friend than an interview. I knew then that I was going to love this girl if I was the lucky one chosen as her wedding photographer...and here I am...blogging about her super cute engagement session with her true love...Russ! Super Cute Dog Alert...and it's not mine!

I thought Sushi was the cutest dog on earth (and she still is!) but she's got someone as a close second to her. Mr. Chewy's mom brought him into the studio for a shoot featuring his Sunday best! Isn't he adorable! He was so good and we captured the most delightfully cute images of him...don't you agree?! Here's the card I designed for Chewy's mom...I can't wait for her to see them! I'm seriously considering starting a doggy bloggy dedicated to all of the sweet animals that I have had the pleasure of photographing....soon very soon!

PDN's TopKnots Wedding contest...WISH ME LUCK!!!

So I've never entered a photo contest that I can remember...I don't think! But I thought I'd give it a try this year since I've had some pretty fabulous bride and grooms that have given me an opportunity to create some wonderfully artistic images. PDN Magazine produces the TopKnots Wedding contest and I entered 2 portrait submissions and 1 detail submission. What do you think? There are alot of talented artists in the pool so I'm just thrilled that I'll be in the mix with them all. The winners are announced in late January...wish me luck!

Home for the holidays!

I headed back home for the Thankgiving holiday to spend it with my family in Iowa this year. I forgot what it felt like to be that cold! That's one thing I don't miss about home! While I was there I was able to reconnect with a friend from grade school. She's married with 4 adorable little kids and miraculously we were able to pull off a quick photo shoot before I had to head back to California. Here's a sneak peek Stacy...I hope you enjoy!
