Vintage Portraits for the Modern Child {Eva}

How adorably cute is this little girl! I was so excited when I talked with Eva's mom about her portrait session. Eva is wearing her great great great grandmother's dress from the early 1900's! It was slightly too big for our little Eva but it still looked absolutely amazing. We ran around in fields, picked wildflowers, learned what 'pinky swear' means and introduced 'stinkin cute' into Eva's vocabulary! It couldn't have been a more perfect day!
Enjoy.

Pet Portraits, Sacramento Pet Photography {Marley}

I can't say it enough...but I absolutely love love love dogs...or rather...animals in general but especially dogs. My friend Morgan has been blessed with Marley - her black labrador companion and decided to photograph her 4-legged friend as her father's day gift to her dad. Marley is an older gal...but still pretty fierce when it comes to catching her ball. That was all she wanted to focus on and that was fine with us. Here are a few of my favorites from the Morgan and Marley's session...enjoy!

Sacramento Child Photography, Modern Kids Portraits {Adam + Maddi}

Here's a little sneak peak of a recent studio session with Adam and Maddi! Little Adam is going to make a great big brother and Little Miss Maddi has such an old soul for such a little baby. They both are so stinkin cute and I had a great time with the entire family.

Journey + Walk-n-Rock = Good times for a Good Cause

Wow...tonight was a bit of a whirlwind! I was asked to shoot the VIP images for the Journey concert for the Hope Production's Walk-n-Rock event at Raley Field tonight. I'll be honest...I didn't really know much about the band so I had to read their Bios on their website to brush up before the big day. The flood of generous donors who came to be photographed with the band was overwhelming. So many people in and out and all clamoring for the coveted shot with the band. All the while...the band stood strong...weathering the frenzy of people swirling about. After the shoot I was able to make my way down to the front of the stage for a few songs and shots. I wish I had a press pass for everything in life! I just breezed up to the stage with no problems...and got some amazing shots for nostalgia. So for all you Journey fans...these images are dedicated to you. Enjoy!

United Way - Live United Campaign Shoot

So last Monday I had the pleasure of hanging out with some really cool people who do really cool things for our community. The Sacramento chapter of United Way is getting ready to launch their Live United campaign and they needed some shots to get them started on the right path. It was a mighty long day...but I enjoyed every minute of it. And it helped that Gabrielle was hustling her AMAZING chocolate chip cookies to all that came down to the shoot...seriously...AMAZING COOKIES!!! Watch out Mrs. Fields! If you don't know what United Way is all about...please take a few minutes to explore their website...or better yet...donate some time to a worthy cause. I pulled out a few shots of a few cuties and some familiar faces....Enjoy!

Sacramento Fashionable Senior Portraits {Kate}

So mom drove the getaway car on this awesome Senior Urban Session...GO MOM!!! I sat shot gun giving her directions to all my favorite little places around town. We managed to crash a Girl Scout party, were approached by a helpful soul who thought we were broken down and got little Emma into a fierce frenzy at the park...not bad for a days shoot! Miss Kate is a fabulous 2009 Whitney High senior with grand theatrical plans in her future! With such an artistic and creative soul herself...we had fun running around capturing senior portraits unlike any other. Here are a few of my favorites from the day...Enjoy!
