Engagement Session {Caroline & Justin}

I am so excited about this session! Caroline, Justin and I had a small window of time to make some really great images and I think we did a fabulous job. Caroline and Justin have the cutest story about meeting at a camp that they both worked at about 5 years ago. Justin was the shy one and Caroline was the little tigress that stole his heart. Meeting them now...you would think that it would have been the opposite. We met up for their session at my studio in midtown and then headed out to the streets for an e-session urban style! We hopped in the car and scouted for spots as we me made our way to Old Sac. Caroline and Justin - thank you so much for a fun day and trusting me and my slightly wacky poses and locations. You both are beautiful people with wonderful hearts and an obvious love for each other and I can't wait for the wedding day.
Below are some favorites from the days adventures!
Enjoy!
p.s. GIVE EM' SOME BLOG LOVE! We're tryin' something new at the studio...for every comment left below - Justin and Caroline will receive $1 of studio cash! The lovely couple can use this to purchase some fabulous studio products...so give em' so love! Please only 1 comment per person - scout's honor!

Super Cute Baby!

Could you find a cuter baby! I don't think so.... Meet Maddi - she just joined us in this big world and has a wonderful 2yr old big brother who promises to watch over her and protect her. I'll have to remind him he said so when she gets bigger and starts to bug him! Maddi was the most adorable little girl and was the best little baby model ever. She barely made a fuss at all through her whole session. Mom wanted to send custom announcements from her session so here's what we put together. These are 5x5 birth announcements with a design on each side. I think no. 2 is my favorite. Leave me a comment on your favorite.
Also - we just came out with our new Sweet Pea Collection which offers photography collections from maternity through your child's first year. I'm excited to share some of the super cute products we've put together for modern mom's that want fabulous photography of their children as they grow. If you are interested in hearing more about it - please contact the studio at casa76@gmail.com. Enjoy!

Engagement Session {Laura & Tate} Teaser!

I've always wanted to do an engagement session at a carnival...and I finally got my photo wish thanks to Laura and Tate! And the funny thing is....when I suggested the idea of shooting at the fair I had no idea that they actually got engaged on this very same ferris wheel just a couple years before. Here's just a quick teaser of their e-session. There's definitely more to come though!

I'm a horrible blogger!

I am embarrased to say that I haven't blogged in over a month. So many wonderful things have been happening and I have yet to share them with you all. I will slowly but surely be catching up on everything and posting new work for you all to peruse.

One thing I've realized lately is that I shoot for so many other people but not the ones closest to me. So in an effort to document those that I love so dearly...I will be shooting and sharing images from my family. First up is Brian. We just celebrated our 5th anniversary and I can't imagine getting old without him. He makes me laugh with the raise of a brow and has a smile that still melts my heart. I can't imagine life without him. He's also a wonderfully talented musician - who is so humble about his gift and so willing to share it. We've been talking for almost a year about doing a photo for him for his website and I finally got him in the studio. I think it's absolutely perfect for him...

Engagement Session {Jennifer & Mike}

Meet Jennifer and Mike. Their story is one so sweet I can't hardly stand it! Jenn worked at Taylor's Market with Mike's brother. Jenn constantly heard about Mike and was gently nudged at the prospect of meeting Mike...but Jenn wanted nothing to do with it. Finally...one day Mike came into the store and saw Jenn from across the store...their eyes locked on each other and she shot him one her penetrable vixen stares and that was it. It was love at first site in the produce aisle. You'll see in the show we tried to recreate that moment in time back at Taylor's...I think we came pretty close! Jenn and Mike...I had so much fun with you both and again...I can't wait for all the yummy details you have in store for your wedding in October. Your love for each other is delightful and inspiring. Thank you for sharing yourselves with me.

The Red Corduroy and The Furry

It's about 2am and once again I am burning the midnight oil trying to catch up on all my wonderful weddings. My super cute sidekick Sushi is curled up in her favorite red corduroy chair sleeping right now and I am so jealous. I'd like to trade lives right about now. Oops...I think I just disturbed her slumber.

On a personal note...I am trying to make more time for myself and have decided to join a Bootcamp to jump start my physical activity that has been severely lacking. If it weren't for the stairs up to my flat I wouldn't even have that to claim in my excercise defense. Trainor Kenny is going to develop a 4 week-3 days a week program specifically geared to kick my butt. This is a group bootcamp so if anyone is looking to join me in my butt-kicking sessions - please email - I would love the company. I'm a bit scarred though...he mentioned something about parachutes...not sure what that's about but I am sure I will be finding out all too soon. I'll report back!

Update on Sushi...I have apparently ruined her good night sleep with my typing and/or poor music choice...she has since relocated to her favorite furry rug.
Back to the personal note...I'm also trying to work on my eating habits as well...which rank right up there with the physical un-fitness. I am announcing open season on me and any pleasurable foods. If you see me in public and I am not eating something that was picked from a tree or plucked from the earth...you have my permission to take it from my willpowerless hands! And I promise not to be mad...for very long.
Sorry for the midnight ramblings. Back to work...

Monte Verde Inn Wedding {April & Grant}

WOW!!!! Talk about a beautiful couple in love. Their passion for each other is obvious and April's adorable giggle is infectious! April and Grant were married at the charming Monte Verde Inn. The food was amazing and no detail was spared by April. The couple had an intimate and wonderful ceremony that was just perfect and then headed off to Alaska for a honeymoon cruise.
